WHAT'S HAPPENING IN KARLSRUHE

This is the one place in the world where one vehicle shares the road with private automobiles and then just a few minutes later, that same vehicle shares a mainline railway with international passenger trains. Of course the vehicle is a streetcar. In our end to end journey on the route S-5, we join the railway twice as well as proceeding through the middle of busy Karisruhe sharing track with their conventional streetcar system and the Albtalbahn. There are many lines here, so passing through the town there are many streetcars.
