TRAIN WATCHERS DIARY: VOLUME 3

In this program Tim Hosey's camera captures non-stop Conrail action on the former P.R.R. Middle Division from Altoona, west to Gallitzin, Summit, Cresson and Lilly, PA. The very steep grades over the Allegheny Mountains necessitates "Pushers" on almost everything that moves. A wide variety of Conrail power is seen on Truc-Trains, Unit Trains and mixed consists as well as Amtrak's Broadway Limited and Pennsylvanian. We then travel to Enola Yard which is just across the Susquehanna River from Harrisburg, PA to observe freight arriving and departing at the west end of the yard.
