JOHN M. PROPHET'S PCC CARS 1938-1948

This program is the product of recently discovered 16mm color film which was shot by John M. Prophet, III between 1938 and 1948. Featured are PCC and Brilliners operating in many US and Canadian cities including Baltimore, Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Montreal, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Francisco, Shaker Heights, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington, DC. Also included is a bonus section of short film clips (also by John Prophet) including PRR steam and diesel on the Horse Shoe Curve, the "Jupiter" at the 1939 Worlds Fair, Southern steam and diesel, B&O and C&O steam, NYC steam and diesel and the Milwaukee Road's "Hiawatha".
