John Morgan a railroad tycoon is opposed to his daughter Ruth's failed marriage and has made her daughter sole heir to his railroad empire. Morgan who is arranging to take his grand-daughter abroad and refuses to let either parent have the child as long as they are separated gets kidnapped aboard his "Special" train. Lots of railroad action featuring early Union Pacific steam power.

This exciting 1923 black & white railroad adventure stars Richard Morris, Wedgewood Nowell, Ella Hall, James Morgan, Jonny Harron, Clair McDowell and Taylor Graves. Esther, the only daughter of the railroad president is rescued from sure death (after falling from her horse in the path of the speeding express) by john Buckley who is a telegrapher for the railroad. Lawrence Wilton, the president's general advisor becomes jealous of the blossoming romance between Esther and John. A plot is devised by Lawrence to wreck the president's special train and blame it on John but our hero saves the day and all ends well.
